Studio Lin is run by Alex Lin. He is a Yale graduate and has worked at 2 x4, one of my favoriate design studios. One of his work I am featuring today is work he has done for United Bamboo. Minjeong An is a Korean artist. She graduated with MFA in fine arts at Seoul National University of Technology. Her work caught my eyes fo sure. It’s unique in it’s own right. Sort of infographic and abstract. Her work above is named Self Portrait. In details, it’s very scientific and precise. It’s very much a blue print of herself. I came across this lovely kit via Print magazine’s Regional Design Annual 2011. Designed by Penny Lorber, Michael Sainato, scott Rankin, Laura Milton and illustrator Dave Crosland. You can check out of o their work at Penny Lorber Design firm.
Use of the illustration and strong typography makes it fun. It seems like it is targeting the right audience for a topic that’s a little more serious with the right design.
