Client’s request was to enhance the experience of customers using technology to optimize their operation. 

THE RESEARCH
We visited the client's hotel where we will be experienting/testing the solution in. Hotel was hip, young and modern. A modern mix of hostel and a hotel. It was a hotel was social with the scene at the hotel lobby and bars. Their guests are welcomed to check in on any social media. They also had their own platform to check other guys who are also staying at the hotel.  

We wanted to address this in multiple touch points with no limitation on what device or solution it may be. We’ve presented the ideas and narrowed down to one goal we wanted to focus on.

THE PROCESS

The Solution for Automated Experience

To address the problem, we were limited to mobile devices. We wanted to create a solution that was simple as checking in at the airport or at apple genius bar. With experience in mind, we focused our goal to visually entertain the customer and surface out functionality that was relevant to the user quickly. We found that hotel people/receptionists were key to their experience and didn’t want to eliminate this in the customers check in entirely.


Design and Interaction

We wanted to address the loading time with the animation of the UI components so things were moving when it was loading. To the end user, they are not aware as its just a simple animation. It also engaged the user in what they were touching.
